Hampta Pass
The Hampta pass trek begins from the lush green Kullu-Manali valley and ends in the rather barren Chandra valley of Lahaul-Spiti. This is a less difficult trek and do not put too much physical strain on the trekkers. The trek passes through oak and forests with unbelievable beauty of the landscape.
Suitable months to trek here are from May-October. The trail takes you to the mountain top on Deo Tibba and Indrasan and you get an amazing views of glaciers by snaking down into the Lahaul valley.
The stark contrast between the two valleys is available to the naked eyes. While the Kullu valley abounds in flora and fauna, the Lahaul valley stands out in its barrenness. Chandratal-Baralacha Trek

The trekking has the feature as gradual climbs, snow-clad peaks and barren mountains, this 100kms trek needs high trekking skills and can be completed by a good treker in a course of 10-15 days. Also, as the Pin Parvati Pass trek takes you through some of the highest peaks, getting close to wildlife. As you have to venture on this thrilling trek, be prepared to traverse through boulder fields, ascend steep slopes, and negotiate chilling waters of sparkling streams and cross gurgling rivers.
